Love Poem to the Self

To be fully me , accept myself unapologetically
To do what I desire without guilt or confusing tendencies of the mind
To recognize , those confusions come from a mental conditioning which is not me
My natural impulses , the things that excite my heart are signs
They guide me , they show me who I can be in this material world
To not fear seeing the real me , flaws included
When I acknowledge my desires , I choose which ones to chase and which ones
to ignore
In doing so , I take complete responsibility of the direction of my life
To not let the fear of newness lead to indecision or stagnation
For in denying these innate callings , I look away from myself , I cheat on myself , I get distant from myself
I deny my true expression to the world
Sometimes I wallow in ego-ic self-pity and miss seeing myself as a strong divine being
Now, I am tired in seeking from others that which I should have always sought within
Oh dear heart you have all the answers
