A Movement Workshop where we merge Awareness and Movement through Conscious play and an Embodied Yoga Flow inspired by the movements of Goddess
12th of July 2026 , 8:30AM – 10:30AM, Location : Bangalore Creative Circus
Facilitated by Ekta Minocha
What is this workshop about ?
This workshop is based on the principles of Embodied Yoga by Acharya Parveen Nair. Embodied Yoga is a way of practicing yoga which allows awareness to lead the body. It shifts the focus from form to the feeling aspects of asana emphasizing on the experience of the practice.
We listen to the body by feeling and sensing and let the sensations guide us. Through this tuning in, the body becomes a place of presence rather than performance.
Movement here becomes a tool for self awareness , allowing natural patterns, habits and holdings to be noticed without judgement.
Rather than achievement or performance this practice supports a deeper relationship with the body. By doing so, we shift the approach of yoga from doing to being. The video beside this is from a recent session of Embodied Yoga.

From an spiritual viewpoint, existence upholds both – the aspects of stillness and movement. Stillness in practice could mean physical and mental stillness wherein the movement is constant in the form of prana flowing through the body in breath and other bodily functions. Stillness here can mean the field of awareness in which all movements, mental fluctuations keep appearing and dis-appearing. Certain yogic texts and yogis say awareness manifests itself in form of stillness and movement both. Brahman manifests itself in form of Shiva and Shakti. We explore this understanding in this workshop through the movements of Goddess.
